A short first check in Maths, reasoning and language shows what to strengthen before speed.
Build the basics, every day
Maths carries the most marks in Sainik School papers. Daily practice of arithmetic, fractions, time and geometry comes first.
Practise like the real paper
Timed papers on OMR sheets in the exam pattern, then a calm review of every mistake.

Which classes can my child join these schools in?
Sainik Schools and Rashtriya Military Schools admit students to Class 6 and Class 9. RIMC Dehradun admits to Class 8. Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar admits boys to Class 6. Age limits apply to every entry, so use the finder on this page with your child’s date of birth.
Can girls apply?
Yes for Sainik Schools and RIMC. Rashtriya Military Schools keep about 10% of seats for girls. Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deoghar is a residential school for boys. Tejas coaches both girls and boys.
When are the exams for 2027-28 admission?
As published or reported in the 2027-28 notices: RIMC written test on 6 December 2026, RMS Common Entrance Test on 13 December 2026, RKM Vidyapith test on 20 December 2026, and AISSEE (Sainik Schools) expected on 31 January 2027. Confirm every date on the official website.
What does the Sainik School paper include?
For Class 6: Mathematics (150 marks), Intelligence, Language and General Knowledge (50 marks each), 300 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes. For Class 9: Mathematics (200 marks), English, Intelligence, General Science and Social Studies (50 marks each), 400 marks in 3 hours. All questions are multiple choice with no negative marking.
Is the coaching online or offline? What are the fees?

Does Tejas apply for the exam on our behalf?
No. Parents apply on the official website of each exam. We explain the steps, documents and dates so you can apply correctly and on time.
