SSB guidance is a proposed assessment-preparation pathway focused on self-reflection, communication, group participation and feedback. It should help you prepare honestly and understand your own experiences.
Course fees & duration
Contact the academy for the current standalone SSB fee and duration. Agniveervayu fees are listed separately.
Hostel charges are separate. Confirm the batch timetable, any taxes or additional charges, discount eligibility and written cancellation terms. No payment is collected on this website.
All fees, concessions & admission inclusionsIs this your starting point?
Candidates seeking structured guidance for the SSB process. Start by comparing your current understanding, education commitments and intended examination or assessment stage.
Thoughtful preparation without rehearsed personalities or selection guarantees. If you are deciding between routes, read the guide to choosing a defence preparation pathway and compare the pathways side by side.
What your preparation should cover
Self-reflection and personal background
Review your education, responsibilities, interests and meaningful decisions. Use real examples and think about what you learned. The purpose is to understand your experience clearly, not create a polished fictional personality.
Communication and interview practice
Practise answering the question asked, providing enough context and explaining your thinking. Ask for specific feedback on clarity and listening. Acknowledge gaps honestly instead of rehearsing an answer to every possible question.
Constructive group participation
Use practice discussions to work on listening, relevant contributions and responding to different views. Observe your habits and focus on one improvement at a time. Participation is more than speaking frequently or dominating a discussion.
Feedback and preparation habits
Discuss observable behaviours with a mentor and translate useful feedback into an action you can practise. Keep practical reporting instructions and required documents organised through the official channel for your entry.
A practical way to structure your progress
- STEP 1
Understand your current stage
Read the official instructions for your entry and identify which aspects of preparation need support.
- STEP 2
Practise with honest feedback
Use reflection, discussion and practice interviews to identify specific areas for improvement. Do not memorise another person’s experiences.
- STEP 3
Review and prepare practically
Revisit feedback, organise official instructions and make the necessary reporting arrangements. Guidance cannot promise an assessment result.
Use the weekly study routine guide to turn these priorities into repeatable actions. For written-exam practice, learn how to analyse a mock beyond the score.
Verify eligibility, dates, paper requirements and updates for your intended cycle. This page is preparation guidance.

Is this a guaranteed-selection programme?
No. No coaching or guidance programme can guarantee a recommendation or final selection.
Should I learn model personal answers?
Use your own experiences and reasoning. Practice should improve clarity and reflection rather than encourage invented achievements or a rehearsed persona.
Who will conduct guidance sessions?
The academy lists Col. R. Rana for psychological-test guidance, Brig. G.S. Sisodia, VSM (Retd.) as a qualified GTO, and Col. Manish Kumar as an SSB interview mentor. Confirm who will conduct your batch, the session format and current mentor availability directly with the academy. Guidance cannot guarantee recommendation or final selection.
What are the fees, duration and batch timings?
Academy-supplied course fees and durations appear on this page where available. Confirm the current batch timetable, teaching mode, language and written refund terms directly.
